## Graphic design *proposal template*

Design proposals live or die on two clauses: how many revision rounds are included, and what file formats the client actually receives. This template covers the creative approach and both of those.

*What's inside*

## What the template covers

Every section below is already drafted in the document, with placeholders marking the details you need to fill in.

- **Project overview** — The client's brief as you understand it, restated so any misunderstanding surfaces now rather than at first presentation.
- **Creative approach** — How you intend to tackle the work, and what the client will see at each stage.
- **Deliverables and formats** — What is produced and in which file formats — source files, print-ready exports, web assets.
- **Revision rounds** — How many rounds are included at each stage, and how additional changes are charged.
- **Timeline** — Concept, review, refinement and delivery dates, including client feedback windows.
- **Pricing and usage rights** — The fee, the payment schedule, and what rights the client receives on completion.

## Generate this document from *your CRM*

A template still means someone opens a file and retypes the names, dates and figures for every new proposal. CloudFiles Document Generation produces the finished document from a Salesforce or HubSpot record — the same structure, populated with real data, generated in seconds and filed straight back against the record it came from.

## Frequently asked questions

**Q: How many revision rounds should I include?**
Two or three per stage is a common arrangement, and the template lets you state the number explicitly. What matters more than the count is that it is written down — unlimited revisions is the most expensive clause a designer can leave implied.

**Q: Should the client get source files?**
That is a commercial decision, and the deliverables section is where you record it. Some studios include source files in the fee, others license the finished assets and charge separately for the working files. Either is defensible; leaving it unsaid is not.

**Q: Does this cover usage rights?**
Yes. The pricing section records what rights transfer on completion — whether the client receives full ownership or a licence limited to particular uses, media or territories.

**Q: Can I edit this template?**
Yes — download the Word (.docx) version and edit it like any other document. Placeholders mark every detail you need to replace. The PDF is there when you just want to read, print or send it as-is.

**Q: Is this template legal advice?**
No. It is a general drafting starting point and has not been reviewed for your jurisdiction or your circumstances. If the proposal will form part of a binding contract once accepted, have the terms reviewed before you send it.

**Q: Do I have to give my email address to download it?**
No. Both download links on this page go straight to the file — there is no form and no sign-up.
